Spiritual Candle Work

Candle Work is way of working with energy to help draw favorable circumstances into one's life, and to help manifest goals and desires. It's been a long tradition in folk-ways from around the world to use candles as a tool for manifestation - a candle is "programmed" or "fixed" with energy/intent, oils and herbs that all resonate with the intended goal. Then as the candle burns it releases that energy out into the Universe to manifest.

You can see this technique used today in every Catholic church, where members light a candle with a prayer, with the understanding that as long as that candle burns their prayer continues to be said. Candle Work is much the same, only it is a bit more labor-intensive than simply lighting a candle with prayer, as it involves preparing (called "dressing") the candle to work to increase it's ability to resonate with the intended goal and draw that energy in.

I've been working successfully with candles in this manner for about 10 years now and am now offering these services to others. I have a beautiful Temple with ample working altar space dedicated to manifesting various goals through Candle Work.

It's common in many places for people to enlist the aid of a spiritual practitioner to work with them, or on their behalf, to help them draw new circumstances, or manifest particular goal. They would do so either because they did not have the experience or knowledge to do such work for themselves, or because they wanted someone with more experience or knowledge to work with them to increase the amount of energy that was being sent out into the Universe for their goals. Many times they would have a spiritual practitioner prepare, or fix, a candle for them which they would then take home to burn with their own prayers or affirmations.

Candle Work can vary greatly in complexity, supply, and time/energy required for the working.

One common way is a "self-serve" method, where a client will tell a spiritual practitioner about their situation, and then the practitioner will decide what color candle and what herbs and oils would be best used to dress that candle. That candle, usually a glass encased vigil candle (often called a 7-day candle - however then tend to burn within the 4-7 days range, not usually the full 7), will then be fixed for the person. That includes the oils, herbs, and also some prayer/affirmation said by the practitioner over the candle. This candle is then given to the client to take home and burn for themselves. They are encouraged to pray over it, or otherwise meditate on their goals by the candle once per day while it burns. Getting a fixed candle from a practitioner is usually the most economic option.

The most basic "full-serve"candle service is called Setting Lights. This is where a client will tell a spiritual practitioner about their situation, and then the practitioner will decide what color candle and what herbs and oils would be best used to dress that candle. That candle, usually a glass encased vigil candle, will then be fixed and set to work by the practitioner there in their own home or place of business. A small paper that has the name and goal of the client will also be prepared and will sit under the candle while it burns in order to help personalize and direct the energy further. The practitioner will watch over the candle and see how it burns over the days, as you can often tell alot about how the energy is moving and working by observing the burn. When the candle is through, the practitioner will report back to the client with news of the how the candle burned. Having a spiritual practitioner set lights for you is usually the second most economical option.

After that you get into more complex work that make take place over a number of days and involve more than just candle burning. For instance a client may be instructed to take some herbal baths &/or wash their floors with an herbal tea to help alter their personal energies in order to better facilitate the manifestation of their goal. While the client does this, the spiritual practitioner may be fixing and setting different kinds of candles to work, and may be continually working those candles while they burn over a period of days or weeks. The client may also be given a fixed candle to burn at home, while the spiritual practitioner does more complicated work at their place. At the end of the work, the practitioner may provide some remains from the work for the client to take home to anchor the effects at their dwelling, or they may prepare a bag with some herbs and other resonate items for the client to wear to continue to draw those effects to them in the future.

These cases are very individualized, and so will vary in cost taking into consideration supply purchases and how much time and energy the spiritual practitioner spends working that case.

Any reputable worker will inform the client of all costs up front before beginning any work, and will not present the client with any unforseen and undisclosed expenses later.

Many spiritual practitioners, myself included, will want to read a situation intuitively before deciding whether or not to take a case. Different practitioners do this in different ways - some use cards, like the tarot to help them be objective about things and glean insights that they might not have picked up on otherwise. This reading can also help determine the best course of action to take to manifest the desired results. For example, a client may think that they need to a money-drawing work, when they would be best served by doing some spiritual cleansing first in order to clear away negative energy that is keeping them blocked and open the road for new prosperity Or perhaps it's not that they need more money, but need to be able to hold on to the money that they already have! The spiritual practitioner can help them see their situation from a new perspective that can aid them in actually having a much better chance of achieving the results they wanted, then if they had gone about the matter in a different way. I use the tarot and intuitive message from my angels to read a situation before working.

I am happy to consider any case that deal with drawing or increasing prosperity, bringing new love into one's life or sweetening a love one already has, providing healing or blessings for those who may be in need or otherwise could appreciate those energies (and I am able to send along distance Reiki healings for those cases as well to futher aid the situation), helping people cleanse away old energies to open the way for the new, aiding one in achieving success in various academic or career ventures, or in situations where negative energy may have been sent - cleansing the energy away and returning it to it's source. I do not take cases that are coercive, directly interfere with free will, or otherwise involve bringing negativity or harm upon anyone or anything.

I will be honest about what I can and cannot do, and should I be unable or unwilling to take a particular case, I can refer people to other workers who might be able to aid them better.
